ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. Greetings from Ken!

“Bigger, Better, Faster, More…” was the name of a music album from the early 90’s. I mention this because I see this “bigger, better, faster, more” mantra being played out in our society, how it can influence people who participate in our programs, and some of the destructive consequences.

When people are fixated on their performance, their possessions, and only getting results, there seems to be an overwhelming amount of unhappiness.

I would like to suggest a new perspective: balance and attraction. When you commit to a life of balance, you set parameters and boundaries within yourself to take care of yourself. You take care of your body, your social and relational needs, your work, your family, your spirit and soul, your intellectual needs, and your community needs. There is an awareness of these needs and they are consciously assessed and addressed.

Furthermore, when you are clear about your life calling and purpose, and where you going according to your vision and your mission, there is an amazing universal phenomenon that shows up: The Law of Attraction. You attract and fulfill, like a magnet, your vision and needs.

However, it does require a bit of faith and trust in the process. It is also very helpful to have a support community to lean on when you feel challenged. It is easy to step into “bigger, better, faster, more” as this seems to be one the biggest forces surrounding us in our lives today.

I invite and challenge you to march to the beat of your own drum: follow your passion, your vision, your mission, and your purpose. And if you need some support along the way, call us, as we are always honored to remind to you of your greatness and your gifts.

You will get all that you need, and then some, if you keep the integrity of your true purpose and calling with yourself In closing I would to remind you all of the following:

Work like you don’t need the money
Sing like no one is listening
Dance like no one is watching
And love like you have never been hurt

Hope to see you soon. Until then may you have much….

Peace and Prosperity,

Ken

FEATURE ARTICLE

Getting Slightly Famous
by Steven Van Yoder

Some business owners seem able to attract clients and customers by magic.

Their marketing seems effortless. They may not have made a cold call in years, they may not spend a dime on advertising, yet somehow they’re regularly featured in newspapers and magazines, and get invited to speak at conferences. Everyone knows their name, and they get all the business they can handle. It’s almost as though they were famous.

In fact, they are, but not in the way movie stars and top athletes are famous- they're just slightly famous. Just famous enough to make their names come to mind when people are looking for a particular product or service, and let them reap the benefits. They get more business-not only more, but the right kind of business-and they don't have to work so hard to get it.

Want to join them and enjoy this ideal state of affairs, where customers come to you? You can, but it may require a new way of thinking and a new marketing strategy. And though it may seem effortless to the outside observer, it does require work.

The Slightly Famous You in a crowded marketplace, where your potential clients and customers have lots of choices, you can stand out by being just slightly famous. This is the exact opposite of mass marketing. It's not about being all things to all people, but being a mini-celebrity to the right people. It's about targeting your market and developing a reputation as a great resource—trustworthy, knowledgeable, and close at hand.

Your goal is to become the lord of a small, profitable domain of your choosing. Within that domain, you will attract more customers and clients, including those you want most. Naturally, such results require thoughtful and consistent efforts.

These efforts will take many different forms, but underlying and guiding them are just six basic principles:

1. Targeting the best prospects
2. Developing a unique market niche
3. Positioning your business as the best solution
4. Maintaining your visibility
5. Enhancing your credibility
6. Establishing your brand and reputation

Working on these principles is your recipe for getting out of the anonymity trap, creating a slightly famous you, and building a successful business. Your slightly famous brand identity will become the guiding star of your entire business. It will ensure that all your marketing efforts pull in the same direction. You'll waste less time, and make fewer marketing mistakes, because you have a long-term strategy of investing in your slightly famous reputation.

CONGRATS!

Our PBI Participants Share Their Wins

CONGRATS To Denise Mosher who writes:

”In the spirit of sharing, launching myself "out there" I've posted my *new* text newsletter.

After lots of time plotting and thinking I finally *just did it* --got an e-newsletter out there. Yes! It very much relates who I am and the needs of my clients, so thought I'd share (OK, and take a wee bit of risk in not thinking small!).

What's next? I will have this on html within a month. As a recovering perfectionist I feel *so wonderful* to do have done this.

Thanks for the support. You really gave me the "nudge" to get this out there, html or not. Ah, recovering perfectionists!”

You can visit Denise’s website at www.lifecompasscoaching.com.

If you are interested in a copy of her newsletter, send her an e-mail at Denise@LifeCompassCoaching.com. It's a great example of a text e-zine.
