7 Reasons Radio Rocks!

1. Exposes you to potential clients to whom you might
not otherwise have access.
Radio targets specific target audiences so you can too.
The listeners in these target markets, who were not previously aware of your
services, will be aware of you as a result of your radio appearances.
2. It makes you a "known quantity."
While radio might not make you famous, it will make you
known to those who hear you. Minor celebrity status brings you more
prospects, publicity and profits. Radio allows you to "sample your wares" to
the audience.
3. Provides you with the opportunity to forge an initial connection with
potential clients.
Radio is the most "personal" of the medias and allows
a cursory initial emotional, spiritual or intellectual bond with the
listener. Listeners grow to know, like and trust you. What makes you and
your practice unique will also be perceived as unique by your radio
audience.
4. Affords you the opportunity to forge community connections.
Radio reaches a broader community so you do too. You can
develop relationships with Individuals and groups tangential to radio.
Those typically include governmental, educational and charitable individuals
and organizations.
5. It is the ULTIMATE "word of mouth" advertising.
Radio can make YOU water cooler talk! Even those who
didn't hear you on the air will hear about you at the water cooler! Oh,
and...it's FREE publicity!
6. Establishes you as a professional and enhances your credibility.
Generally radio personalities and their guests
are perceived by the public to be credible. Your appearance on a radio
program serves as a tacit or implied endorsement by that program. Radio is
yet another way to up your "expert-ability."
7. Increases your opportunities to help others (and God likes it when you
do that!)
Radio lets you serve the greater good literally and
figuratively. You can affect a broader picture. That's why they call it
"MASS" media. For those who have the need but not the funds, what you
provide them via the airwaves is an offering of sorts.
